Community News
Ohav Emeth and Jewish Family Services to collect school supplies. Every year, more and more families come to JFS for help to ensure their children have the supplies they need for a successful school year. They are collecting pencils, cases, notebooks, rulers, glue sticks, colored pencils, mar ers, crayons, loose leaf paper and more. The drive is running until Tuesday, July 16 and there is a donation box in the locker room.
Denise Hametz Dollar-a-Day of Raritan Valley makes the mitzvah of giving tzdukah every day easy and attainable. The funds donated to DaDRV are currently being distributed by a DaDRV to twenty-three organizations in the Highland Park, Edison East Brunswick community. The NJ Chesed and Parnossa Network (formerly The ROC of NJ) is coordinating a community-wide effort to help provide minyanim at shiva homes. We have seen a few instances where there have not been minyanim at shiva homes for Shacharit and Mincha/Maariv. Therefore, we have created the Shiva Minyannaire Initiative hatsApp Group. The Bikur Cholim of Raritan Valley and Sharsheret are looking for volunteers for local peer support, surgical gemach, meal delivery, financial support, and much more! Join them on Tuesday, July 30 at 8:00pm at Ohav Emeth to learn more about how to support women and families impacted by breast cancer. RSVP requested: rteicher@sharsheret.org.
