Saturday, December 18 at 8:00pm
at Congregation Etz Ahaim

Live in Person and Streaming Online

90% of university-age American Jews attend college, making campus antisemitism a central issue for the American Jewish community.

Andrew Getraer was executive director of Rutgers Hillel, the largest Hillel in America, for 20 years. In that time Rutgers was both one of the most embattled campuses in the country and one of the most successful in combatting anti-Jewish activity. Mr. Getraer will engage in a frank and open discussion of the perceptions, realities, challenges, and opportunities we face today.

Andrew Getraer was Executive Director of Hillel at Rutgers University from 2001-2021, serving the largest Jewish undergraduate population in the US. Under his leadership Rutgers Hillel became one of the most successful Hillels in the country, increasing revenues and student engagement by over 500%, and building a new, state-of-the-art 40,000 SF facility, the largest in the country.

Andrew lives in Highland Park with his wife, Jean. Their 5 children each graduated from RPRY and NJ yeshiva high schools. They are members of Congregation Ahavas Achim.
