The Highland Park Volunteer First Aid Squad is facing serious finanical problems that could affect all the residents of Highland Park.
Many people believe that the squad is owned, and / or funded by Highland Park, but this is not true. The Borough of Highland Park donates to the squad only $26,000 per year. However, the Highland Park Volunteer First Aid Squad's budget this year is about $100,000. The $74,000 difference between the Bourough's donation and the budget comes mainly from donations.
